Nouf Aljowaysir is a Saudi artist based in NYC. Her practice emerges from the conditions of migration and moving between cultures. Working across photography and moving image, she weaves technological tools, archival materials, and personal memories to understand history and identity.

She uses dialogue with machines as a method for examining how those exchanges reshape the performance of the self.

Nouf has been awarded residencies at ThoughtWorks Arts and Somerset House. Her work has been exhibited internationally at galleries and festivals such as Jeu de Paume, Photo Élysée, M+ Museum, Rhizome, and KADIST, Art Genève, and CPH:DOX among others. She has also been featured in major media outlets such as Le Monde, BBC Culture, Forbes, and Le Quotidien de l’Art.

Her film Ana Min Wein? (Where Am I From?) won the 2023 Lumen Prize for Moving Image and was released by The New York Times Op-Docs series in June 2024.

Her work has been acquired by Photo Elysée and private collections.
